We encourage
you to worship with us. Visitors are always welcome, and this page
is especially for our visitors.
Taking
Part
As
a visitor, you may not be immediately familiar with all the traditions
of Lutheran worship. We understand and invite you to participate
in the worship service as fully as you are able. We
also want to do all we can to ensure that you are fed by God's Word
and Sacraments and that you are enriched by the worship that surrounds
you. Please tell us if we can help. We hope that you will return
and grow in our life together as a congregation of God's thankful
people.
Holy
Communion
God's
Word of promise makes us members of the Church through Holy Baptism.
We invite all baptized Christians, of any age or denomination, to
receive Holy Communion with us this day, sharing in our Lord's Body
and Blood which is truly present in the bread and wine. Through
our celebration of Word and Sacrament, we are the catholic (universal)
Church in this place, worshipping the Triune God, Father, Son and
Holy Spirit! Normally, we commune on the first Sunday of each month
and also on special Sundays. Want to learn more about Holy Communion?

God's
Word
The Scripture readings each Sunday are common readings and themes
shared across denominational lines on any given day. Over time,
we use music from nearly every period of the Christian tradition,
as well as from the various cultures where Christianity is currently
playing a vital role. In these ways, we are linked with the whole
Church, the People of God, in very tangible ways.
Our
Hymnals
All
materials needed for worship are usually found in the green Lutheran
Book of Worship (LBW) and the blue With One Voice (WOV), both found
on the pew shelf. Available from the ushers, the bulletin serves
as your "road map" through the service. Page numbers refer
to the small numbers in the front of the green book (LBW). The LBW
or WOV hymn numbers refer to the large numbers in the hymn sections
which make up the rest of each book.
Throughout
the church year, we also have special services like Youth Sunday,
Easter, Christmas, and Lent. As the church seasons progress, more
information about our special services will be listed above. Also,
a nursery is available during the service.
