Lay Ministry...

What do lay ministers do? They pray for each of their care receivers on a daily basis. They are available just to listen and be there in times of joy or sorrow. They contact each of their families or individuals on a regular basis. Do you have an interest in becoming a lay minister? Do you feel empathy and compassion for others? Would you like to translate these feelings into helpful relationships with members of our congregation? To listen? To encourage? To just be there? We will be holding another equipping seminar in May... contact the church office for more info.

Our Blanketmakers...

They have completed 50 quilts that will be distributed through Lutheran World Relief. Delivery was made by Willie Plummer to Grace Lutheran Church in Salisbury in November. Twenty-three health and sewing kits assembled by Women of the ELCA were also delivered. This is a most valuable service to the church world-wide and all men and women of the church are invited to participate with this group. They meet the last Monday and Tuesday morning of each month in the fellowship hall. Join us for fun, fellowship and service!

SCCM needs...

S.C.C.M. requests paper products from our church during the month of March. Please deposit them in the basket in the foyer of the parish building.
